A Historical Walk through the
Harlem Renaissance
A Historical Walk through the Harlem Renaissance is designed to focus in on an exciting time in the history of African-Americans. Because of its narrow focus, it will not replace a comprehensive history study that includes all of the factors leading to the end of this period of relative prosperity for a number of African-American artists of all forms. This curriculum is designed for an upper elementary (grades 4-5) to middle school student (grades 6-8) to uncover Bible lessons, language arts, music, art, history and geography. A Historical Walk through the Harlem Renaissance brings this period of history to life for the user.
This study lends itself well to journaling, notebooking, and/or lapbooking. It can be divided and integrated into an already-established curriculum. There are any number of ways to enjoy the information that is compiled here. What is most important is that you tear into it, grab a couple of good books, cut on your computer and CD player, and have fun. Happy learning!
